Storage Auction Reveals James Bond Car

 Storage Auctioneers

Buried Treasure in Self Storage

Imagine what was going through the mind of a man who purchased a storage container for $100 and found the James Bond Lotus Underwater car stashed underneath a pile of blankets.

The car, which was featured in the James Bond movie The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), was bought in a blind auction in Long Island in 1989 for $100. The owner, who wishes to remain anonymous, is putting the underwater car up for auction and it is expected to bring in more than $1 Million. That is a 10,000% profit for the lucky auction hunter.

Storage Wars New York Season Finale

So what do Storage Auctioneers watch on TV?

Season Finale Storage Wars New York of course!

Get out there and bid to win!  Forget about it!

The Series Finale of “Storage Wars New York” is on television and the scene has changed from California to New York and Long Island.  Tonight is the last show of the season and we will be tuned in!

As you might expect, “Storage Wars New York” features storage auctions of storage lockers, storage containers, storage rooms, and even shipping containers.  There are larger than life personalities.  Such large egos grow only in The Big Apple.

Here at Storage Auctioneers, we are a national network of hardworking Americans, earning a living selling storage lockers and lien sales at auction.  The American Auctioneers: Team Dan and Laura Dotson have assured us that the A & E Television Hit Series, “Storage Wars” is legit.  Team Dotson auctions over 3,000 sales a year in California, and if they say the lockers are real, we believe them.  Dan and Laura are as honest a couple of auctioneers as we’ve ever met.

Some people say “Storage Wars New York” is too good to be true.  We at Storage Auctioneers aren’t directly involved with the production of “Storage Wars New York” however, we can understand it must be strange to see the microcosm of NYC from an outsider’s perspective.  “Storage Wars New York” has the potential to be a great market for New Yorkers and New Jersey treasure hunters, and it may be why we were asked about recording our Manhattan storage auctions.

Here in Manhattan, we have been called to auction fine art collections including Picasso, Gauguin, Paul Cezanne, original masterpieces, limited editions, imported original Italian antique furniture and marble, designers Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Couture, Coach, Chanel, Herme’s, imported designer chandeliers, Revere Sterling Silver, Rosenthal Crystal, Lalique, Cartier, Mercedes, Ferrari, Tiffany’s, Wedgwood, antique armor, fine collectables, Rolex, Montblanc, gold coins, and much more.  Every bit was in an estate sale and or Manhattan storage auction.

Storage space is so expensive in New York City, that hopefully, if someone was willing to pay the money to store items, than the items were hopefully worth more than the price of the storage locker rent.  People are crashing in and out of the Big City that never sleeps, so there are over 1,000 storage lockers auctioned in New York City every month!  Likewise, in the counties surrounding NYC, people have moved out seeking space, or moved in and had to downsize.  Either way, the NY countryside is full of storage auctions every month!

That means you have a great chance of finding a locker to fit your budget.  It also means some people just never came back for their things and you might be able to find their unclaimed treasure.  Likewise, New York and New Jersey are international trade meccas.  There is a huge amount of unclaimed freight as well as storage lockers for auction.

If you register with us there is no guarantee you will ever be on Storage Wars New York or New Jersey, however, the chances are good that one day you will be recommended to a storage auction where you can bid and buy the unknown and possibly become the new furniture king, art gambler or successful mogul.  Cameras and filming is generally prohibited by the storage facility at our auctions, so don’t register expecting to attend and film our storage auctions.

We appreciate you being professional and polite to your fellow storage auction buyers and Storage Auctioneers.  We try to keep things classy at our events, although the bidding has been known to heat up.  Thank you for registering and bidding at our New York Storage Auctions.

A & E Storage Wars New York Season Finale Tonight!

Attention Storage Auction Buyers

Storage Auctions NY to Santa Barbara courtesy of Independent

If you would like to attend a Storage Auction near in your neighborhood it is as easy as filling out a confidential registration form and bringing cash money to the sale. We have basic Storage Auction Terms and Conditions which every bidder must read, understand, and agree to willingly.

We invite all well behaved bidders over 18 to register and bring enough cash to bid and buy on auction day!

There are few guarantees in life, so only bid on what you can buy with the money in your pocket.  It could be an old muscle car, it might be a new Mercedes, it might be a pile of dirty smelly socks with silver dollars in the toes, you never can tell unless you win the bid and dive in.  The Storage Auctioneer can usually give you some background, depending on what information is available.  We don’t go inside the locker and we don’t move anything around, and ask you to do the same.  We try not to play favorites, however, being friendly, honest, and polite is certainly a plus for everyone.

If you register, attend our Storage Auctions, and become the high bidder, congratulations!  If you are back up bidder, we will also take your information and bid number, just in case the high bidder made a human mistake and defaults.  If a buyer defaults, they get one warning.  After that, another default black lists that bidder and company for eternity plus infinity.  Back bidding is not allowed.  Every bid that is accepted by the auctioneer is a binding financial offer to purchase the storage unit.  Only bid on what you are ready to buy please!  Thank you for your understanding!

The Storage Auctioneer of the Storage Auction Unit or Freight Storage Container, reserves the right to close, sell, accept bids, re-open bidding, and set bidding increments.

If you have any questions please contact us here and ask away!  Our friendly representatives are happy to assist you, especially if it is your first time at a Storage Auction!

Unclaimed Shipping Container Auctions

Bigger Storage Auctions, More Money, Bigger Pay

Storage Auctioneers welcome you to our:

Unclaimed Shipping Container Auctions

Shipping Container Auctions at Port Elizabeth NJ Storage Auctioneers

Wow, big money shipping storage auctions can get wild really quickly.

Most of the world’s international trade is done by transcontinental container ships.  These massive behemoth boats cruise the world’s oceans as +200,000 ton leviathans   Millions of shipping containers enter New York, New Jersey, California, Georgia, Puerto Rico, Miami, Anchorage, Honolulu, as well as many more ports of entry for international shipping.  Our Expert Storage Auctioneers sell unclaimed shipping containers around the world.  Register for free here!

  • Q.  Why do shipping container auctions happen?

  • A.  Unclaimed freight auctions in America can happen for many reasons.

EXAMPLE: So Dealer Joe from America orders three Ferraris from Italy.  No problem, accept Joe gets tied up in import taxes because his wife finds him with a dozen cheerleaders and she wasn’t invited.  Her lawyer takes him to the bank and before you know it, the costs on shipping the unit, paying the import tax, and everything else, don’t compete with the cost of the divorce and the fight for the kids.

Eventually the shipping company and storage company want their fees and Joe can’t pay.  Unfortunately for Joe, the mythical three Ferraris go up for sale in one of many shipping container auctions in ports of entry.

Fortunately for the buyers, they come along and see the high profile racing tires under the cover of the first car, and see how deeply the container is packed.  They also see the Ferrari Emblems on the crates and so the bidding goes high.  Let’s say the bidding stops at $150,000. Well three mint condition Ferraris minus the import cost, still should be a six figure pay day for the lucky buyer.  The storage and shipping container auction company gets paid their due and the remainder goes to Joe and most probably his angry wife.

Joe could have just unfortunately lost his income, lost his business partner, lost his buyer, passed away, gone out of business, moved away, or disappeared and didn’t pay.  Unfortunately death, divorce, and taxes are usually the reasons why freight goes unclaimed.  Perhaps freight may also have been involved with nefarious activities so buyer beware of what you might find hidden away in your storage treasure.  Detective work is up to you.

Storage and shipping containers may have cars, supplies, equipment, personal items, entire house contents, wholesale goods, or stacks of collectible beanie babies and baseball cards.  It is unlikely someone was shipping complete junk because of the costs involved, so bidding at shipping container auctions can be fiercely intense.

When big money is on the line, we recommend setting a reasonable limit for what you can spend.  Our auctioneers never buy or bid on items, so the bidders determine the market value of each lot.  As professional Storage Auctioneers, we would encourage our new buyers to only bid on what they can see, and not on what they can “feel” is inside the locker, unless they have a robust business model.

The prospecting business can be expensive, but you can’t sell the contents and profit if you are never the high bidder.  Don’t be intimidated by the numbers.  Do your research, know your market, know your budget, and share good knowledge with others.  If you pay good forward hopefully you can expect good future returns.

We are currently negotiating government contracts and port of entry authority agreements, to sell unclaimed shipping containers at auction.  Tax liquidations of business assets and lots from lein sales may be included with the unclaimed freight for sale at storage auction.

Thankfully there are tens of thousands of storage auctions at a variety of locations across the United States.  Storage auctions take place at outdoor storage facilities, shipyards, docks, warehouses, factories, or possibly indoors at a climate controlled storage auction. Dress accordingly for each venue.  Layers allow you to be covered or cool.  Please be respectful of others and always consider showering with soap before the auction.  Some venues can be quite hot in the summer and everyone should feel comfortable.  Please remember Storage auctions make up part of American Treasure Hunting so some bidders are in fact actual pirates.  We cannot police every buyer, so be aware of those around you and how they bid against you.

The platform is fair, although, those with greater experience and more time in the business tend to make greater profits.  Buyers need to buy low and sell products high, however, bidding wars do erupt for a variety of reasons.  Perhaps the high bidder feels territorial and wishes to protect their stake in the neighborhood.

Anyway you slice it, Storage Auctions can be entertaining, educational and fun as long as all the adults play nicely together.

Thank you for choosing Storage Auctioneers for your local Storage Auctions.
